Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Infors USA Inc, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701 for a Multitron Standard Incubator and clamps. The Structural Informatics Unit (SIU) of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID) is seeking to procure a Multitron Refrigerating Incubator with 3 independent chambers, with size requirements. Lab background and use: The SIU studies the structure of influenza viruses by electron microscopy. As such highly purified and characterized recombinant proteins are needed for these structural studies and these proteins need to be produced in bacterial cells that under controlled conditions in an incubator.
