18SNC05_ATT1 N00164-18-S-NC05 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - Machine Shop Equipment Preventative Maintenance and Emergency Repair - NAICS Code 333514 - FSC H334 Issue Date 28 August 2018 - Closing Date 22 OCTOBER 2018 - Time 1400 EDT This request for information/sources sought is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use this site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government is issuing this request for information as part of a market survey in an effort to seek information from companies with the capabilities to support the requirement below. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division is seeking prospective sources with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians capable of performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on Machine Shop equipment/manufacturer types identified in Table 1. The Government is interested in supporting the machine shop equipment with annual maintenance actions by using single or multiple vendors as required. It is requested the items listed below are addressed/submitted: Any interested vendor(s) should: 1.Indicate if company has the capability to support the machine shop equipment identified below and in Attachment 1. 2.Describe the plan to support all of the machine shop equipment with the correct OEM replacement parts and provide the OEM certified technicians to maintain the equipment. 3.If a single vendor cannot support all brands and types of equipment, then the vendor shall provide a list of specific equipment that can be supported and/or outline a plan identifying how a prime/sub-contractor arrangement could potentially support the requirement. 4.Provide a copy of any other certificates and compliances that the company has as it pertains to any of the requested information contained herein. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, a white paper no longer than 15 pages, and/or other pertinent information. White papers in Microsoft Word for Office compatible format are due no later than 22 OCTOBER 2018, 1400 EDT. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. This Request for Information (RFI) in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the Government for information provided. Contractors must be properly registered in the Government System for Award Management database (SAM). Contractors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation of requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the internet at www.sam.gov. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/sources sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed.
