Description
SITE VISIT SITE VISIT: See clause 52.237-1, Site Visit (APR 1984). The site visit will be conducted on September 7, 2018 at 10am EST at the DORN VAMC, Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interested offerors, site visit POC and Contracting Officer shall gather near information desk located in Dorn VA Building 100, welcome area. NOTE: This is the ONLY site visit scheduled for this project; individual or separate site visits will not be scheduled. This is not a mandatory site visit, but it is highly encouraged to attend before submitting a quote. Timeframe: September 7, 2018- Site Visit 10:00 AM EST Note: No questions will be asked or answered during the site visit; all questions must be sent via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Joseph Locke at joseph.locke@va.gov September 10, 2018- Turn-In Questions NLT 12:00PM EST; all questions must be sent via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Joseph Locke at joseph.locke@va.gov September 12, 2018- Post Questions / Answers (on or about) on FBO. All questions and answers will be posted through an Amendment which will be posted on FBO as an attachment; the expectation is that each offeror fully complete the SF 1449 and return it to the Contract Specialist, Joseph Locke, via e-mail at joseph.locke@va.gov September 17, 2017- Receive RFPs NLT 12:00 PM EST; the expectation is that each offeror submit with their proposal package a fully completed SF 1449 document. Proposals are to be sent directly to the Contract Specialist, Joseph Locke at joseph.locke@va.gov September 21, 2017- Award Contract (on or about) Site Visit specific information: 1. Infection Control Risk Assessment / Implementation plan.   It has an ICRA and it s an active project site. 2.   Proper count of Sprinkler Heads.   Confirm count.   Drawings were provided in email response from David yesterday and again attached the count is for 15 new and 11 relocations 3.   Schematic and/or as built drawing to show the location and the number of sprinkler pendants by location.   Offerors will need to know where they re responsible to replace sprinkler pendants. Please see response to #2 4.   Determination as to how many rooms will be allotted per day for interested offerors to work each day.   A timeline was not provided.   This is a construction area so number of rooms are not relevant. 5.   Determination as to who will be responsible for the fire watch during completion of the work.   This is a construction area, there will be no fire watch. 6.   Determination what infection control processes such as HEPA are required for rooms housing a Veteran as well as empty rooms.   Infection control processes apply as a construction area, this is covered in the ICRA 7.   Coordination with Charge Nurse to gain access into Veteran s rooms during completion of work. Does not apply for this requirement. 8.   Communicate what restrictions on work hours, if any? Does not apply 9.   Determine coordination as necessary between MICU, SICU and PCU to determine a work schedule for interested offerors to understand to be able to submit a quote.   This is not an SICU requirement, does not apply 10.   Determine what barriers are required during the completion of work, soffit to soffit?   Barriers that are required are already in place. 11.   Determine what process will be utilized to minimize odor control, i.e.- vacuum, open windows, etc.   This is a construction area, processes covered under ICRA. 12.   Provide location for site visit Welcome Center, 1st floor Bldg 100 13.   Provide POC for site visit Joe Blackwell, should be back in the office next week.
