Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, anticipates soliciting quotes for Sign Language Interpreter services at the Memphis VA Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Ave., Memphis, TN 38104-2127. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR 13.3, Simplified Acquisition Methods. The Government intends to award a one year, firm-fixed price contract with four, one-year option periods in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specifications of the solicitation. This solicitation will be 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB s). The Contractor shall provide certified Interpreters for our deaf employees, patients, and family members. These services shall be available 365 days a year, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The service shall provide the ability for the Memphis VAMC Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Manager or Medical Center Point of Contacts (POCs) to contact the vendor to arrange for an Interpreter via phone or e-mail in providing interpretation for our deaf employees for monthly staff meetings, training sessions, counseling sessions, or other type of meetings they are required to attend. The EEO Manager or Medical Center POCs may also be able to contact the vendor to coordinate services for patients who are deaf and their family members. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541930 and the Small Business Administration size standard is $7.5 Million. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about September 4, 2018. The date is not firm and is subject to change. Potential quoters must register at https://fbo.gov to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential quoters are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract neither does it obligate the Government to pay for any quote preparation costs. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation because of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. All interested parties must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and Veteran Vendor Information Pages database (VIP) pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines prior to award. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov and www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov.
