Description
Attached is the parts list and specifications for the required enclosures and hubs. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued as market research. All requirements identified in this RFI are tentative and will be finalized prior to the release of any solicitation. The Government does not intent to award a contract or purchase order in response to this RFI or otherwise pay for the information submitted. The information provided is entirely voluntary and will not impact the ability to bid on future requirements. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered a request for proposal (RFP), request for quote (RFQ), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The information provided may be utilized by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in developing its acquisition strategy should a decision be made to proceed with acquiring the items/services listed in this RFI. The information received in response to this RFI may be included in one or more future solicitations. The results of this RFI will assist in making the determination of whether or not this acquisition will be full and open or set aside for small business competition. All responses shall include the following information: 1. Company Name 2. Business Size for subject NAICS 3. Cage Code 4. Details on which line items your company is able to provide and any applicable restrictions AFRL is seeking U.S. sources with the capability to provide the items/services listed in this RFI. Responses are limited to 20 pages. All replies are to be provided to the Contracting Specialist, Alvaro Guzman, alvaro.guzman@us.af.mil and the Contracting Officer, Michel Cameron, michele.cameron@us.af.mil. All responses to this RFI must be received NO LATER THAN September 7th 2018 at 4:00 p.m. PDT. Specification-Data Acquisition enclosures for MRET The Air Force is in need of enclosures to house data acquisition and control systems for the new Multiscale Rocket Engine Test (MRET) facility. The enclosures must meet the following specifications: •· Nominally 2200 mm height, 1000 mm depth, and width to support 19" rack mount (expected to be 600 mm) •· Freestanding •· Ability to be joined to adjacent enclosures such that a single cooling unit may cool multiple enclosures •· NEMA 3 or 12 (gasketed to protect against contaminants) •· All components (excepting LED light) should be of steel construction •· 12 gauge (minimum) steel frame with fully welded corners •· 16 gauge (minimum) doors and top panels •· Powder coated •· Front and rear door access with lockable handles •· Rack angles should be 14 gauge (minimum) and equipped with square holes The following items and quantities are needed. All components must be compatible. •· Six (6) frames that are 2200mm x 1000 mm x 600 mm (or as needed to support 19" rack mount) •· Below widths assume that 600 mm is the size needed to support a 19" rack; update dimensions accordingly if the width is different •· Five (5) joining kits for the frames (must include seals/gaskets between frames) •· Six (6) front doors (2200mm x 600mm) •· Six (6) rear doors (2200mm x 600mm) •· Six (6) solid tops (1000mm x 600mm) •· Six (6) 200mm plinth base (1000mm x 600mm) •· Six (6) solid bases to seal frames (if not included with plinth base) (1000mm x 600mm) •· Two (2) side panels (2200mm x 1000mm) •· Two (2) subpanels that full height and width of interior (with mounting hardware if not included) •· Twelve (12) pair of 19" rack angle with square holes •· Mounting channel to allow moving mounting of rack angles forward/backward sufficient for the 12 pair of angles required •· Four (4) shelves to attach to rack mount (14 gauge minimum) •· Eighteen (18) rackmount support guides (e.g., Hoffman PG9) •· Twelve (12) LED light fixtures. Magnetic mounting, A/C powered, minimum of 10" wide, minimum of 400 lumens
