- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to procure services service for the repair 4 marine propulsion propellers. Repairs are required due to normal wear and tear during the past dredging season. Wheels are 38" diameter x 33" pitch, 4 blade stainless steel workhorse style propellers, 2 each RH rotation and 2 each LH Rotation. The NAICS code is 332999, and the size standard is 750 employees, and will be set-aside 100% for Small Business. The RFQ will be posted to the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 27August 2018. This date is subject to change. All amendments to the solicitation will likewise be posted to the FedBizOpps website. Contractors are cautioned to check the website periodically for amendments. Faxed offers and amendments will not be accepted. A solicitation mailing list will not be compiled. The solicitation and amendments will not be sent out in paper copy. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award of a contract. This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals or bids. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
