Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Transatlantic Middle East DIstrict (TAM) has a requirement to provide the necessary buildings, utilities, airfield pavements and infrastructure improvements to a military base at an undisclosed location approximately 100 km from Amman, Jordan. This Design-Bid-Build (DBB) project includes construction of fully-designed facilities, utilities, and infrastructure improvements. Infrastructure improvements including site demolition, grading, site development, fencing and AT/FP wall construction, roadways and parking pavement, water, sewer, electrical generation and distribution, communications, fire protection, airfield lighting, airfield paving and marking, and buildings associated with the above infrastructure which shall be constructed by the Contractor. Facilities for this project include airlift apron, personal recovery/SOF apron, CAS/ISR apron, ISR aircraft shelters, CAS aircraft sunshades, cargo marshalling yard, TMO/warehouse, hot cargo apron, utilities, site improvements, paving, necessary associated airfield markings, grounding and tie-down points, and lighting. Some specific details: Flightline Road, Connecting Roadways and Utilities : Construction of two-lane 7.3 m Asphalt Concrete Pavement (ACP) Flightline Road. Airlift Apron: Construction of a 28,700 square meter airlift apron, shoulders, and connecting taxiways. Additional Apron: Construction of a 42,000 square meter Personal Recovery/Special Operations Forces (SOF), shoulders, and connecting taxiways. CAS/ISR Apron : Construction of 125,270 square meter CAS/ISR apron with a load off-load (LOLA) apron, shoulders, and connecting taxiways. All work under this contract includes all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and necessary supplies to construct the features of work described in the specifications. The Contractor must manage the work in a professional manner, perform personnel and support functions to maintain a sufficient work force, and provide the submittals required. Materials and supplies shall be new and standard products regularly used for commercial/institutional construction of similar size, style, and complexity in Jordan. Equipment to be provided by the Contractor shall be of commercial/institutional quality.
