Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. No solicitation is available. This notice is released pursuant to FAR 15.201e, Exchanges with Industry. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) is seeking to identify sources to accomplish a Firm Fixed Price contract for 6300 lunches to include: sub sandwiches, 2-ounce bags of Frito Lay or equal products, and 20-ounce sodas. Details below. This sources sought is a market research tool being utilized to determine potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ). Therefore, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. In accordance with FAR 15.202e, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The following criteria will be required for contract award: •1. Meets specifications outlined in the attached document •2. Has an active CAGE Code with the Central Contractor Registration. •3. Does not appear on the Excluded Parties List Responses should include the following information: •1. Responder's contact information including company name. P.O.C. name, telephone number, fax number, email address, street address, CAGE, and TIN •2. Previous Contracts Performed for Similar Scope of Work •3. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. THE BELOW IS A TENTATIVE SPECIFICATION, WITH TENTATIVE DATES, AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Criteria for light refreshments: •- Sandwiches must be made fresh within 12 hours of planned consumption which is Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 1130 AM. They must be kept refrigerated at 34 degrees until delivered. •- Vendor will deliver beverages to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) by 1200 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. •- If vendor is within a 10 mile radius of PNSY, PNSY will pick up sandwiches and chips beginning at 0600 AM and accepting completed order by 0800 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. •- If vendor is outside a 10 mile radius of PNSY, vendor will deliver sandwiches and chips by 0800 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. (vendors within 30 miles preferred for freshness purposes) •1. Provide 6,000 fresh six-inch Italian sub sandwiches stuffed with 2 to 3 slices of 3 inch in diameter and medium deli thickness mild cooked salami and provolone cheese to cover end to end of the sub roll. Also please include 2 to 3 slices of fresh sliced onions, ½ to ¾ inches thick; 2 to 3 slices of fresh green peppers, 3 ½ to 4 ½ inches in length; and 2 to 3 slices of fresh tomatoes, ½ to ¾ inches thick. Also please include a small handful of fresh looking and firm sliced dill pickles and black olives. Rolls should be fluffy, soft to the touch, look as if they are fresh from the oven and not soggy. Recommend sandwiches be assembled with salami on one side and cheese on the other with the vegetables in between to prevent the bread from becoming too soggy. Sandwiches should be wrapped in wax paper with closed ends and taped closed to prevent opening during transit. Sandwiches are to be delivered or picked up Wednesday, September 26, 2018 by 0800 AM. •2. Provide 300 fresh six-inch Veggie sub sandwiches stuffed with 2 to 3 slices of 3 inch in diameter provolone cheese to cover end to end of the sub roll. Also please include 2 to 3 slices of fresh sliced onions, ½ to ¾ inches thick; 2 to 3 slices of fresh green peppers, 3 ½ to 4 ½ inches in length; and 2 to 3 slices of fresh tomatoes, ½ to ¾ inches thick. Provide 20-ounce Coke or equal products to be delivered to PNSY on Tuesday, September 26, 2018 by 1200 PM in rough proportion to 6,300 in total. (Total cases are acceptable.)
