Description
Sources Sought Notice The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential Small Businesses especially any SDVOSB offerors capable of providing a Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System or Functional Equivalent as listed in the Statement of Need (See Below). This is for the VA Healthcare Center in Philadelphia, PA 19104. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the Statement of Need (See Below). Responses should include the following information: Business name Address Business point of Contact Current Duns Number Product Literature to Demonstrate Acceptability of Equivalents Authorized Distributor from the Manufacturer All information is to be submitted via e-mail at thomas.cossentino@va.gov Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on 8/23/18. Statement of Work Date Client The Corporal Michael J Crescenz VAMC Job Name Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System [or equal] Requested by Diagnostic Imaging/Nuclear Medicine From Summary The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC Nuclear Medicine Department is in need of a replacement for the current thyroid uptake system. A thyroid uptake system measures how much radiation is upheld in a patient s body (thyroid). It is a requirement that every Nuclear Medicine Department have one. The current system that the department is using is out dated (running on windows XP) and near end of life. In order to comply with regulations it is mandated that all Radiology and Nuclear Medicine equipment run on Windows 7. This means that out dated equipment currently running on an older operating system is no longer technically supported and must either be upgraded or replaced. If this system were to malfunction and become inoperable, it would have a negative impact to patient care. Project Scope This SOW covers the following activities and deliverables. The scope of work is delivery of a quantity of one (1) Capintec Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System for the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC Diagnostic Imaging department Nuclear Medicine section. This Thyroid Uptake System is required to have a Thyroid Uptake and Well Counting System which includes automated QC, Bioassay, Wipe Tests, Lab Tests, full functional 1024 channel MCA that includes Timed Activity. It is also required that it have a 20 inch all-in-one touch screen computer, improved graphical touch screen user interface, fully integrated DICOM interface, ergonomically designed stand, fully articulating collimator arm, medical grade Corian countertop with convenient shelf for document storage, rod source holder, an HP ink jet printer, and Cesium & Europium rod sources. Along with the thyroid uptake system, this software will also need to be purchased. Cap-Dicom software for the Captus 4000e is required and is included as a separate line item in the quote from the vendor. Also included in the quotation are the Captus test tube, the neck phantom for thyroid uptake systems, and one day on-site training and installation. ITEMS REQUIRED [or equivalent]: CAPTUS 4000E THYROID UPTAKE AND WELL SYSTEM CAP-DICOM SOFTWARE FOR THE CAPTUS 4000E ONE DAY ON-SITE TRAINING AND INSTALLATION CAPTUS TEST TUBES NECK PHANTOM FOR THYROID UPTAKE SYSTEMS EQUIVALENT PRODUCTS OFFERED MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING PHYICAL AND FUNCTIONAL CHARATERISTICS: 20 inch Color touch screen computer Integrated DICOM interface Ergonomic mobile stand Articulating arm with a wide range of motion Rod source holder Ink Jet Printer One day on-site training and installation Test tubes Neck phantom Fully automated QA Reporting Heavy duty locking casters that swivel Bioassay
