- RFI Questions and Responses Could you provide any more detail about the size and weight of the commodities that we will be loading/unloading? This will vary depending on what needs to be delivered during a given run, depending on the need of the CBOC as to the items/supplies/equipment listed in the SOW. Is this a new acquisition or recurring? NEW Is there any type of follow-on opportunity after the 90-day term? Dependent upon full staffing of Logistics Service for in house capability. If a recurring acquisition, Is it the VA s experience that 2 men are required to load/unload/deliver the commodities? This action is currently done by one VA employee If the truck arrives on time, and the facility cannot receive the commodity, how would we be compensated for wait time? This si a routine delivery schedule for supply deliveries. The CBOC will always accept the commodity because they are being resupplied in order for the clinic to complete its medical mission for the week. questions regarding the oxygen tanks as to sizes/weights for packaging. Depending on how many tanks the CBOC s is requesting determines how it will be carried. Tanks will be carried in a 12 or 4 rack container. Each weighing about 2 to 3 lbs and each at a height of 24 to 36 inches Also, are there any security requirements for the driver to access any of the facilities? Will a background check or specific security clearance be required? Yes a flash badge will be needed for access. Flash badge has no Security process. Local credential requires one form of ID
