- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. A solicitation will not be issued at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), on behalf of: Phoenix VA Health Care System, 650 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ, 85012-1892 has a requirement for Brand Name Only: Covidien Sales LLC dba Given Imaging manoscan catheter and probe. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The below reflect background and part numbers of the equipment to be delivered. Required Items Brand Name Only: Line Item # Item/Description Qty Unit 1 Brand name only 3890 manoscan ESO Z catheter + warranty 1 EA 2 Brand name only 3885 manoscan AR 3D probe + warranty 1 EA 3 Operator s service and repair parts manuals, one hardcopy, one electronic (if available) Statement of Information: Equipment being ordered: ManoScan Catheters, Esophageal (ESO) & Anal Rectal (AR) Transaction number: SEPG66916 EER28601 Description of what the equipment being requested is: These Catheters are used with our existing system-Given ManoScan High Resoluion (HRM Module A120) equipment. The Esophageal catheter that has 135 sensors that measure pressure and movement from the upper esophageal sphincter, down the swallowing tube and through the lower esophageal sphincter into the stomach. The Anal Rectal Catheter is used to assess pressure activity of the rectum and anal sphincters with a single placement of a catheter. These Catheters contain high resolution technology, and are not a single use device. These are multi-use solid state technology. This catheter can be expected to perform approximately 175-200 test uses from past experience. The Facility performs approximately 190-225 motility studies using these catheters annually. Description of how the equipment being requested operates: ManoScan Esophageal is used to assess esophageal motor function, by providing complete physiological mapping of the esophageal motor function, from the pharynx to the stomach, with a single placement of a catheter. This advanced diagnostic technology allows physicians to evaluate causes of gastric reflux, difficulty swallowing, functional chest pain and pre-operative evaluations. ManoScan Anal Rectal is used to assess pressure activity of the rectum and anal sphincters with a single placement of a catheter. This advanced diagnostic technology allows physicians to evaluate patients with conditions such as impaired defecation, chronic constipation, rectal prolapse or Hirschprung's Disease. Where will the equipment being requested be used: The ManoScan Esophageal Manometry catheter (MSC 1286 High Resolution 3D catheter) with 36 channel circumferential with 4.2mm in diameter, 1.0cm spacing between adjacent sensors and the Manoscan Anorecatal catheter (MSC 3885 High Resolution 3D catheter) with 16 circumferential sensing regions and 256 total sensors will be used in the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Labs at the Phoenix VA Health Care System. Who will be using the equipment being requested: The equipment is primarily used by the Gastroenterology Physicians and Gastroenterology Motility Nurses Other: Lower catheter have been turned in AAD0537 Probes are currently carried in MSD item display 59393 for Anal Rectal and 38874 for ESO. This equipment does not have a storage mechanism and PII or PHI will not be stored or collect any data outside the VA. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotes will be issued on or about August 30, 2018. Award of a firm fixed price contract is contemplated on or about September 7, 2018, This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside, or, full & open competition. It is recommended that SDVOSB and VOSB interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. Prior to any award, a vendor/contractor must be vendorized. Such forms required for vendorization will be included in any solicitation resulting from this sources sought notice. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to capability of performance; (3) proof of registration in the VA Vet Biz or SBA websites or intention of registration prior to submission of offers to a solicitation; (4) If you are a distributor, a statement from the manufacturer that your company is an authorized distributor; (5) a statement to inform the government if you are a manufacturer or distributor; (8) any information regarding FSS Schedule availability; (6) any other pertinent company documentation. The response date to this Sources Sought notice is August 27th, 2018 at 6:00 pm EST. This market research is for informational and planning purposes only to determine if a socio-economic set-aside, or full & open competition, or sole-source procurement is appropriate.
