Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil) The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N00189-18-Q-G266. The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office requests responses from authorized and certified vendors/distributors for Detroit engines located at Surface Warfare Officer School (SWOS) Little Creek, VA Beach, VA, in accordance with the RFQ. Vendor will be responsible for pick-up and return of the three (3) Detroit engines to and from SWOS Little Creek VA. Period of Performance is for 30 days and starts from the award of contract. This acquisition is being advertised as Other than Full and Open due to the brand name only requirement. The NAICS code is 333618 and the Small Business Standard is 1,500 Employees. Quotes must be submitted via email to larissa.benoit@navy.mil by 24 August 2018 at 1100 a.m. EST (Groton, CT local time). See RFQ for quote package specifications.
