Description
MIL-STD-913A NATICK Drawing 11-1-7752 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement; a market survey for information only to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The CTARNG is conducting Market Research for Concrete Sling Load Training Blocks of various size/weight. The blocks must meet commercially available standards set forth in MIL-STD-913A and engineering specifications detailed in NATICK Drawing 11-1-7752. Both standards and engineering specifications are attached in two separate files. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price AWARD. The results and analysis of this Sources Sought Synopsis will assist in the determination of procurement method. The type of set-aside issued will depend upon the responses received from this synopsis. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Large Business, Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Women Owned Small Business, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of the construction of four sling load training blocks of various size and weight. These are 1.5K, 2.1K, 8.5K and 12K blocks of cement with rebar reinforcement and four hooks of rebar protruding from the top for attaching it to the sling assembly hanging from the aircraft. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 327331 Concrete Block and Brick Manufacturing which has a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Federal Supply Code is 3940 Blocks, Tackle, Rigging and Slings. Firm's response to this SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS shall include the following information: 1. Vendor's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Vendor's proof of ability to fulfill the requirement for Sling Load Training Blocks. This proof should include but not limited to drawings, photos, specifications, and previous government contracts that demonstrate the firms ability to properly produce the required items. 3. Vendor's Business Size - IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 19.203(a) 4. Interested Firm's shall respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis no later than 1:00pm (EST) 27 August 2018.
