Description
Amendment 0007 issue to extend the proposal due date from 21 AUG 2018, 2:00PM CST to 24 AUG 2018 2:00PM CST To provide network/system/service and equipment terminating at the 3 bases, that have the capability of supporting Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM); and have the ability to provide the initial two lambda services with working and protected paths in opposite directions and at least two additional capacity of OC-48 wavelengths terminating at each location with no electronic breakouts outside of the terminating HEMP facilities at the 3 bases. This requirement is part of the Colorado Springs Survivable Communications Network. This PWS and the associated system specifications/requirements identified in this PWS establish the requirements and quality assurance provisions for a contractor to provide, operate, and maintain HEMP protected fiber optic links between CMAFS, PAFB and SAFB. The government's initial requirement is for the Contractor to activate two wavelengths equipped with OC-48, Intermediate Reach (IR), single mode fiber interfaces with no electronic breakouts outside of identified HEMP protected shelters/terminating locations. The network shall provide local, stand-alone, services capable of sustained operation during the presence of the threats encountered by the Command and Control facilities at SAFB, PAFB and CMAFS. The network shall employ path diversity, communications site dispersal and modern systems (technical control) techniques. This PWS is for 2 OC-48 lambda services at each location constituting a system with a working and protected path in opposite directions.
