- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with Mesa Laboratories, Inc., 12100 W 6th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80228. Mesa Laboratories, Inc is the only known source which can provide the required equipment to the current requirements. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements Citation: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). FSIS requires upgrade from our current Check Point Temperature Monitoring System from Mesa Laboratories to the ViewPoint (Pro) Temperature Monitoring System from Mesa Laboratories. This upgrade will include software, 14 Access Points, 119 LED temperature sensors, 36 temp/humidity sensors and 14 dual sensors including installation and technical support. The contractor shall provide the following software to run the automated temperature monitoring system which must be compatible with the LCD sensors and access points that is currently being used in the Laboratory. This requirement is for an upgrade to the current software and equipment that is currently being used and tested. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within three (3) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary equipment, software and past performance capability. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to announcement #927843. If no viable responses have been received in response after Wednesday, August 22, 2018, 5:00 pm E.S.T to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with Mesa Laboratories.
