- Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of Norfolk, VA, intends to issue solicitation N50054-18-R-0038 for small boats in which the contractor shall furnish the necessary management, material, labor, supplies, and equipment deemed necessary to provide repair to small boat 29BB0601, 29BB0606, and 25BB0612. For 29BB0601 and 29BB0606, repair will include port and starboard engine overhaul, port and starboard marine gear overhaul, electrical system repairs and grooming, hydraulic system repairs, fuel system repairs, structural repairs, blasting of engine room, steering lazarette, bilges, void areas and exterior of boat and installation of new coating systems. For 25BB0612, it is projected that the repair will encompass engine replacement, schottel z-drive system replacement, electrical system repairs and grooming, hydraulic system repairs, fuel system repairs, structural repairs, blasting and painting of the engine room, bilges, void areas, exterior of boat and installation of all new coatings systems. During the period of solicitation, it is anticipated to hold a site visit for potential offeror to inspect the small boats. If you are interested, submit your company's contact information, point of contact, and the name of the attendee(s) to Joseph Estrella ( joseph.l.estrella@navy.mil ). The site visit is not mandatory but highly encourage. It is anticipated that the requirement will be awarded as a single award firm-fixed price contract. It is projected that the contract will be a one-year base period. A complete RFQ package will be available by downloading the documents at FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or around 27 August 2018. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will NOT issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov.
