Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) anticipates releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) W31P4Q-17-R-0046 for the Hydra-70 (2.75 inch) (70mm) Rocket System Full Rate Production hardware and Engineering Services. The Government anticipates awarding a single-source hybrid Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost Type five year Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract to the Offeror whose proposal provides the best value to the Government and whose proposal conforms to the terms and conditions of the RFP. This acquisition is restricted to companies that are members of the National Technology and Industrial Base. The Hydra-70 Rocket System is a family of 2.75-inch unguided rockets employed by approximately 20 different Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing aircraft and is used by the U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. The Hydra-70 Rocket System provides close air support to ground forces and is designed for anti-materiel, anti-personnel, and enemy suppression missions. The Hydra-70 Rocket System fills a variety of roles against a wide spectrum of targets. This acquisition is for the procurement of the Hydra-70 Rocket System, a 2.75-inch family of munitions, to include the Mark (MK) 66 MOD 4 Rocket Motor, M151, M229, M255A1, M255A2, M274, MK149, M257, M278, M156, M264, M282 and Warhead Training Unit (WTU)-1/B Rockets and/or Warheads, AGR-20C, containers and associated components, packaging and Engineering Services (ES). The ES will provide organization, direction, program management, engineering, product assurance, safety, configuration management, test and evaluation, production engineering support, control, and administrative effort necessary to maintain the capability of the Hydra-70 Rocket System AUR and its variances.
