Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) contract clause 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). The U.S. Property & Fiscal Office for Rhode Island Purchasing & Contracting Division is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the certification, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for the repair and upgrade of WELL BILT INDUSTIRES Bottom Roller Hangar Doors. The Rhode Island Army National Guard (RIARNG) is in possession of hangar doors that were specifically designed, engineered, and custom manufactured by WELL BILT INDUSTRIES, Williston, FL. These custom hangar doors were installed on the RIARNG Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Quonset State Airport, 104 Airport Street, North Kingstown, RI. 02852. Please note that this is NOT a solicitation. Contractor MUST have the ability to furnish all materials and/or parts used for replacement, which shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material and/or parts. All parts were "custom" designed specifically for the WELL BUILT INDUSTIRES Bottom Roller Hangar Doors installed at RIARNG AASF, North Kingstown, RI. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this Request for Information survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. FAR 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offer" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of the evaluation, repair and calibration of the CMBS, F-16 Adapter Kit, F-15 Adaptor Kit, and upgrade of the F-16 Boresight Prototype. (End of Provision) INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Listed below is the Contractor Capability Survey. The Survey allows Contractors to provide their company's capability, expertise, experience, and written certification that they are qualified to repair and upgrade of WELL BILT INDUSTIRES Bottom Roller Hangar Doors. 2. If you desire to participate in the market research, you must provide documentation that supports your company's capability in meeting this requirement. Failure to provide documentation may result in the Government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience, capability, expertise, and a written certification from Well Bilt Industries to conduct all necessary repairs and upgrades to Well Bilt Industries Bottom Roller Hangar doors. 3.
