Description
THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR INFLATABLE ENGINE SHELTERS FOR THE 171ST ARW IN CORAOPOLIS (PITTSBURGH), PA. INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1)ITEMS REQUESTED ARE ADVERTISED AS BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. VENDORS PROPOSING ALTERNATE BRAND NAMES OR MODEL NUMBERS **MUST** BE APPROVED PRIOR TO RESPONSE DEADLINE. 2)ALL ITEMS ARE REQUIRED TO BE IN NEW CONDITION. REFURBISHED, USED, AND OTHER-THAN-NEW ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 3)THIS RFQ IS BEING CONDUCTED ON A LOWEST-PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE (LPTA) BASIS. 4)INTERESTED VENDORS MUST BE REGISTERED AND ACTIVE IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGMENT (SAM) IN ORDER TO BE AWARDED. IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED IN SAM, PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR ASSISTANCE. (REF: FAR 52.232-33). 5)THIS REQUIREMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR FULL & OPEN COMPETITION. (REF: DFARS 252.232-7006) 8)INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS: QUOTES MAY BE SUBMITTED VIA THIS RFQ POST OR VIA EMAIL TO MICHAEL.W.BOYD2.MIL@MAIL.MIL. 9) ITEM DESCRIPTION: 3 EA J.B. ROCHE KC-135 INFLATABLE ENGINE CHANGE SHELTERS OR EQUAL. The shelter must contain multiple ports for heater and air conditioning ducts and provide a safe environment for fuel system work by having static resistance, as well as be able to stay continuously inflated. Shelter must be able to be fully inflated in around 5 minutes and include self-contained mechanism for inflating & maintaining inflation. Shelter must envelop a portion of the Nacelle or wing profile and effectively dock the shelter to the aircraft, ensuring stability in windy conditions. Shelter must NOT require hard attachment to the aircraft in order to be used and/or stable. Shelter must incorporate means such as pads for maintaining stability in inclement weather. Shelter must be easily transportable and foldable down to a reasonably small size. Quotes for permanent and semi-permanent structures will not be accepted.
