POC: Wilmen Joa | email: Wilmen.Joa@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO, Era Health, LLC., for the GORE Surgical Replacements. Gore Medical specializes in vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes and other therapeutic solutions to complex medical issues. These items are required on an as needed basis during certain surgeries to support the broader supplies required. Vascular grafts are implanted in veins and arteries. Thus, they need to be acquired in different sizes. These Gore supplies are the preferred source for surgeries involving hemodialysis patients at the VA NJ. This is an urgent procurement. Market research was conducted and determined that sole sourcing this requirement is in the best interest of the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 2), EAST ORANGE VAMC (NJ) Campus Medical Center intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1)-FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Era Health, LLC., 4428 Overton Crest St Fort Worth, TX, 76109-2521. Era Health, LLC. will provide items below, and installation & training as needed to EAST ORANGE VAMC (NJ) Campus Medical Center. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. No Government-furnished property will be provided. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies or services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to August 22, 2018. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Wilmen.Joa@va.gov and received by 11:00AM EST on August 22, 2018.
