Description
Kennel door 4 Kennel door 3 Kennel door 2 Kennel Door 1 Statement of Work Request for Quote The contractor shall furnish all drawings and measurements, supervision, labor, transportation materials, tools, incidentals, equipment, supervision, and Quality Assurance to install 96 industrial grade dog safety doors on the corner kennels of all MWD kennel facilities. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: 1. The Contractor shall provide and install a manually operated safety door on the 4 corner kennels of 16 facilities on Lackland and 8 facilities on Medina Training Annex (96 total). 2. The Contractor shall fabricate and attach welded steel guide railings to the concrete wall which contains the opening. Two railings shall be used; one installed above and one below door. 3. The Contractor shall provide and install all hardware necessary to securely mount the door assemblies. The contractor shall ensure that all possible wear-and-tear, vibration, torque, and other such detrimental forces are taken into account and controlled and eliminated as necessary to provide perfectly working, aesthetically pleasing, safe, and long lasting safety doors. 4. The doors shall be able to be pulled in and out horizontally using a rust proof handle and be equipped with a pin type locking mechanism or other such mechanically solid andindustrially proven corrosion proof mechanism. Plastic, nylon or derivatives are not acceptable within the construction and/or components of this mechanism. Handle and locking mechanism must be functional without interfering with fense posts (see pictures).
