Description
RFQ NMFS AKR-17-0815 for professional services to section, age, and provide photographs of sectioned beluga whale teeth, and to provide the results from these analyses to National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Alaska Region (AKR) per the enclosed Performance Work Statement (PWS). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for professional services to section, age, and provide photographs of sectioned beluga whale teeth. Then provide the results from these analyses to National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Alaska Region (AKR) per the performance work statement (PWS) included in this request for quote (RFQ) NMFS AKR-17-0815 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541620 and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The objective of this contract between NMFS Alaska Region (AKR) and the successful contractor is for professional services to section, age, and provide photographs of sectioned beluga teeth, and to provide the results from these analyses to NMFS AKR. Analysis will be conducted following the protocol in Vos (2003). NMFS requires the contractor to successfully analyze multiple teeth per whale from up to 30 individual belugas. Teeth from female individuals of the Cook Inlet beluga DPS will must be prioritized and results provided prior to the sectioning and aging of teeth from male of the Cook Inlet DPS. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Office of Management Division (OMD), requires that all contractors doing business with OMD be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
