- Page 1 of 1 INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for Carefusion Medication Storage Carousels for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion, Indiana. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from A Single Source, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Carefusion Solutions, LLC, 3750 Torrey View Ct, San Diego, CA 92130 for furnishing Medication Storage Carousels, installation, and implementation. The contractor shall deliver and install equipment at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System located at 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953 within 120 days after contract award. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113 and the Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The sole source rationale is based on the proprietary nature of the carousels and their unique compatibility with existing hardware and software currently in use. Carefusion is the only contractor that is currently able to integrate with the VA s systems. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for competitive quotes or offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Friday, August 17, 2018. All responses shall be submitted to Brooke Hansen via e-mail at brooke.hansen@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
