- This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This sources sought does not commit the Navy to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the Navy is not seeking proposals at this time. Responders are advised the U.S. Navy will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this sources sought; all costs associated with responding to this sources sought will be solely at the interested party's expense. The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), AIR-4.11.5.1 Prototyping and Engineering Branch, St. Inigoes Maryland, is requesting one (1) Strippit LVD Phoenix - FL 3015 6000W as well as software, training, tooling, setup, and installation of the machine. Hardware delivery and set up required by 28 May 2019. The product technical requirements are 6000W Laser Source, ability to cut ferrous and non-ferrous metals, High volume and productive capacity, nitrogen generation system, CADMAN-L software. The contractor shall provide one-time certified in-person training on technical application, proper techniques, and hands-on demonstrations for two (2) people in a 3-day classroom style training held at LVD's factory in Buffalo, New York. Training required by 30 July 2019. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION : It is highly recommended that interested businesses submit a capabilities statement, product catalog, website, business size and cage code. It is requested that responses to this RFI be submitted via email to Lisa Bethea at lisa.bethea@navy.mil no later than 15 days from the date of this posting. The Government may or may not elect not to discuss submissions received in response to this RFI with individual responders. There is no requirement to respond to the RFI however, the Government places tremendous value on the information received and may utilize the information to finalize its acquisition strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e) responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract/agreement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the review. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
