Description
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be soliciting a contractor to support the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI), a CMS initiative to prevent improper payments and promote consistent coding for national programs. The contract provides for the maintenance of associated manuals and references, maintenance of data files, and the continuation of the ongoing activities necessary for the successful administration of the NCCI program. Such activities include, for example, education to the provider community, replying to correspondence, inquiries, providing requested information for special requests/reports (e.g. OIG/GAO, etc.), and providing support to CMS in the administration and expansion of all CMS Correct Coding initiatives. This procurement will be a small business set aside competition under NAICS code 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services, with a size standard of $15 million. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued under solicitation number 75FCMC18R0043. CMS anticipates award of one Firm Fixed Price type contract for five (5) years, consisting of a one-year base period and four (4) one-year option periods. All prospective Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management at http://www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about August 27, 2018, and it will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov. Proposals are expected to be due 30 days from the RFP issue date. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. No telephone requests or written requests for the RFP will be accepted. Contractors must be free of conflicts of interest or shall prepare an OCI mitigation plan to address any actual, potential or apparent organizational conflicts of interest that could arise.
