Description
DFP dated 03 August 2018 AMENDMENT 01 The purpose of Amendment 01 is to: (a) Provide Questions and Answers #1 - #5; (b) Provide Description for Purchase (DFP) dated 03 August, 2018 at Attachment 02. The DFP at Attachment 02 replaces the DFP dated July 18, 2018 at Attachment 01. 1. Question: Is there a concern over psi for compatibility for new copper water line? Answer: PSI requirements are dictated by each specific analyzer. Air pressure will be controlled with a pressure reducing station (as instructed in the DFP). Water pressure will be set by the building line pressure. In both cases, copper line will be installed by the Army prior to installation of the analyzer system, and will be capable of handling the magnitude of operating pressure required by the analyzer. 2. Question: Will power be provided to the new equipment location? Answer: Power hookups will be provided within 5 feet of the installation site. 3. Question: Can ‘dirty water' filtration details be provided to the new equipment install? Answer: Input water (‘dirty water') that is analyzed by the instrument will be filtered as instructed in the DFP. The minimum specifications for filtration will be set they the manufacturer. 4. Question: Can you provide details about controls requirements? Does the analyzer system connect with an alarm system? Any emergency shut off that needs to be tied in? Answer: The analyzer is an independent system. It will not connect with ancillary alarm systems or emergency shut off systems. 5. Question: Are As-Built drawings available for the existing UV analyzer install at B3110? Answer: No.
