Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, NCO16 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, size standard 1000 employees. The vendor will be Alcon s (Large bus) Authorized Distributor O.R. Elder Inc. 1270 Broadway Ste 401, New York, NY 10001 (VOSB). Description of equipment requirements: ORA Surgical System with VERIFEYE+(Bundled) - 1 Each A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government s belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government s intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence the competition would be advantageous to the Government. Reponses via email to Melanie.Hawley@va.gov with ORA Surgical System in subject line, must be received no later than 4 pm on Monday, August 20, 2018.
