- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Anchorage, AK has a requirement for a commercial item or service. This combined synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 (as supplemented with additional information included in this notice). This posting will be referred to under Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number 140F0718Q0045. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will be issued and attached to this posting for reference only. This RFQ falls under procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This document incorporates provisions and clauses updated by way of the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) #05-99, effective Jun 15, 2018. This requirement is not set aside and is full and open for competition. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 335912, Primary Battery Manufacturing and the business size standard is 1000 Employees. This announcement constitutes the Government's only official notice of this procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requesting quotes to purchase human grade batteries for sea otter tags with the following specifications: Specific model: 9086 Greatbatch medical CFx Medium Rate Battery OR EQUAL. If providing an ¿OR EQUAL ¿, you must provide sufficient data to determine technical acceptability. ¿Must have a small size and a compact shape appropriate for implanting into a sea otter ¿Must be a human grade battery (i.e. pacemaker) that is encased in robust material and safe to be implanted in the human body cavity ¿Maximum dimensions are approximately 45 x 23 x 8.6 mm (length, width, height) ¿Maximum weight of a battery must be less than 17 grams ¿Battery life must be sufficient to transmit VHF signals for at least 3 continuous years ¿Must have a capacity of 2.5Ah (Amp hour) ¿The OCV (open circuit voltage) must be 3.4V ¿The battery must be made of Lithium Carbon Monofluoride (CFx) ¿Casing material must be Stainless Steel DELEVIERY DATE: 60 human grade batteries shall be delivered no later than December 14, 2018 to ATS (Advanced Telemetry Systems) in Isanti, MN. The basis for award is Best Value to the government. In addition, your proposal should provide unit price and total price. No formal format is required as this is a combined synopsis/request for proposal solicitation. Offers must be received by 5:00 pm Eastern Time, 08/15/2018, at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 1011 E. Tudor Rd M/S171, Anchorage, AK. Offers received after this date and time will be considered non responsive in accordance with 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated.
