Questions/Answers The paw pressure test does not state the type of animal and there are different models for mice and rats. Is it for rats or mice, or both? The units must be for rats. All of the required equipment stands on a table or counter or is in a self-contained cart. Does installation of equipment involve anything other than unpackaging the devices, assembling if necessary, and placing them in the proper place as directed by VA staff? Is training required and if so can you provide details on the level of training requested? Regarding item 0003 Rat operant self-administration boxes an interface and software is required for proper operation but they are not listed in the item description in the scope of work. Is the interface and software required? Install as stated in question: unpackaging the devices, assembling if necessary, and placing them in the proper place as directed by VA staff. Training: Yes, training is required so that a person familiar with behavioral research can understand the operation of the equipment and software. Yes, interface (laptop and software required).
