Description
Sources Sought Only. The Veterans Medical Center Hampton, VA is seeking potential sources capable of providing a licensed professional fire protection engineer and support staff to inspect patient and healthcare related buildings and workspaces to determine compliance with the 2015 edition of NFPA Life Safety Code and Joint Commission requirements. The contractor shall Review existing Joint Commission Statement of Conditions and Life Safety Features Drawings for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with 2015 NFPA Life Safety Code and Joint Commission. It is the intent that 19 patient care buildings (see attached spreadsheet for square footages of all - totaling 613,460 GSF) be reviewed room by room, looking for life safety deficiencies, inappropriate life safety features, and drawing accuracy. Every fire or smoke rated wall/partition will be inspected for deficiencies this will require a ladder to get above the ceiling. Deficiencies will be documented and drawings updated. Updated drawings will have Licensed Fire Protection Engineer certification/stamp. The Applicable NAICS code is 541330 with a Size Standard of $15 Million. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Please provide a Capability Statement to this sources sought notice to include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not your firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm s experience in providing Reusable Sharps Containers / Medical Waste Disposal Services. Provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
