- Factory Service Update for Field Lab 58 General The Navy Oil Analysis Program (NOAP) is responsible for supporting the United States Navy fleet, Sailors and Marines, providing fast, accurate, and reliable oil and lubricants analysis on the field. The portable Field Lab (FL58) units that that are currently undergoing test and evaluation in the NOAP Office laboratory at Pax River, will be used to test and analyze oil and lubricants directly in the field in support of the fleet, however, this equipment needs to be upgraded to the newest technology so it will be plug and play. The factory service upgrade will bring the Field Lab 58 up to current standards which will provide the fleet with a faster, more accurate and reliable results at a much more cost effective and cost efficient way. 1. The SOW addresses the following deliverables: Element Qty Base Price Total Price Factory Service Upgrade 2 $8,000.00 $16,000.00 In House Service 8 $206.00 $1,648.00 Shipping & Handling 2 $300.00 $600.00 Total Cost $15,848.00 Note 1: The Factory Service Upgrade is essential to the operation of the Field Lab 58 instruments for lubricant analysis in the field. It will provide the NOAP lab operators a more interface user friendly device, provide more accurate Magnesium (Mg) analysis for gear boxes lubricants, and be able to download data directly to a ToughPad computer.
