Description
TITLE:PROVIDE POWER TO EXISTING PREFABRICATED FACILITY AT FUELS 2 1.CURRENT CONDITION: 1.1Currently existing prefabricated facility located at Fuels 2, near substation #604, is not electrically powered. 2.REQUIREMENT: 2.1Provide electrical connections to existing prefabricated facility. 3.DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 3.1Provide new 1ea small electric panel composed of 1ea 2P, 20 A, Idn=0,03 A residual current thermal-magnetic circuit breaker (location of installation is shown on sketch 4 of 4); 3.2Provide connections between new provided small electric panel described in paragraph 3.1 above and existing main low voltage electric panel located inside the same room and existing interior 1ea junction box located on the adjacent wall. Use existing electric conduits when possible, if new electric conduits shall be installed, they shall match the existing ones already located to the same room (see sketch 4 of 4). 3.3Provide new weatherproof junction box at the same height of existing interior junction box described at paragraph 3.2 above, at the exterior side of the building. 3.4Provide new exterior type Electric Metal Tubing (EMT) from new provided exterior junction box described in paragraph 3.3 above, through existing fencing (see sketches 1, 2 of 4 for details). 3.5Provide new exterior type EMT from existing weatherproof junction box shown on sketch 3 of 4 to new junction box to be installed described in paragraph 3.7 below (see sketch 2 of 4). 3.6Provide PVC underground electric conduits. This task includes excavating area (approx. length 10 m, width 0.60 m and depth 0.8 m) between existing fencing and existing prefabricated facility (see sketches 1, 2 of 4 for details) and submerge this conduit with new provided concrete mix. 3.7Provide new 2ea weatherproof junction boxes to connect new provided EMT described in paragraphs 3.4 and 3.5 above with new provided PVC underground electric conduits described in paragraph 3.6 above. 3.8Provide new FG7OR electric cables (approx. length 50 m) inside new EMT/conduits described in the above paragraphs, to connect new provided small electric panel described in paragraph 3.1 above to existing main low voltage electric panel and existing weatherproof junction box of prefabricated facility to be powered (shown on sketch 3 of 4). 3.9Provide a grounding system for the existing prefabricated facility, composed of 4ea copperclad and cross sectioned grounding rods, installed in 4ea dedicated 60x60 concrete manholes (1ea at each corner of the facility) complete of pedestrian type cover, and grounding insulated cables (color of the sheath yellow/green, section not less than 16 mm ) in order to provide grounding connection to existing prefabricated facility; all new provided manholes shall be installed on a compacted gravel layer in order to facilitate the drainage of the rainwater. 3.10Secure power feeding main low voltage electric panel located inside the same room of new provided small electric panel described in paragraph 3.1 above (Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure). Perform connections between: 1) new provided small electric panel described in paragraph 3.1 above; 2) existing main low voltage electric panel; 3) and existing prefabricated facility to be powered (through its existing weatherproof junction box shown on sketch 3 of 4). Restore previously secured power. 3.11Test new provided circuits for proper operations. Notes:(1) Work shall be conducted in compliance with the EM-385-1-1 Safety Manual and the Italian Safety norms. (2)No work shall start prior to obtaining all approvals from the Contracting Officer. (3)Debris resulting from operations shall be removed and disposed of off the station in accordance to current environmental protection rules and regulations. (4) Contractor shall use safety equipment and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to perform all the tasks of this work. (5) Electrical operations and new provided electrical systems shall comply with current applicable NEC and CEI codes. (6) Each ground connection shall be performed with crimped cable lug and bolt. (7)Contractor shall provide As Built drawings (design plan showing the location of the new provided small electric panel described in paragraph 3.1 above, single line diagram (with technical information about each component installed) of the new provided small electric panel) and electrical certification and declaration of conformity in compliance with Italian Norms and Regulations (DM 37/2008, D.P.R. 462/01 and related), of the new provided small electric panel. These documents shall be provided both in hard copies and on a Microsoft compatible CD or DVD to the Contracting Officer within 10 working days after completion of work. (8)Contractor shall provide electrical certification and declaration of conformity in compliance with Italian Norms and Regulations (DM 37/2008, D.P.R. 462/01 and related) of the new provided grounding system for the existing prefabricated facility. 4.WORK LOCATION: Fuels 2 compound, near bldg. 466 and substation #604, NAS II
