- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM), Weapons and Software Engineering Center (WSEC) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide Technical Services to support the Armored Vehicle Fire Control (AVFC) and Future Systems Division (FSD). RESPPONSES WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO THE RESPONDER. NOT RESPONDING TO THIS NOTICE DOES NOT PRECLUDE PARTICIPATION IN ANY FUTURE REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) OR INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) OR RFP, IF ANY ISSUED. IF A SOLICITATION IS RELEASED, IT WILL BE SYNOPSIZED ON THE GOVERNMENT-WIDE POINT OF ENTRY (GPE). IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT." BACKGROUND: The AVFC&FSD is currently supporting the development of Future Mounted Maneuver and Intelligent Fire Control Systems for the Army Modernization priorities supporting both the Next Generation Combat vehicle, and the Future Vertical Lift, as well as providing Production, Sustainment, and Foreign Military Sales support for existing systems such as the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams tank, and the AH-64 Apache helicopter. The AVFC&FSD requires technical services in multiple engineering disciplines to support future and ongoing efforts including: mechanical engineering, electronic component obsolescence, optics, system engineering, software development, systems integration, engineering drawings, tech data package, ECP support, information technology support, engineering analyses, computer engineering, evaluation support, design of digital and analog circuits, building and test of hardware, and technical writing and publishing. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 541330 with a Small Business Size Standard of $15,000,000.00. The Product Service Code is R425. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the Technical Services. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government by August 23, 2018 to the US Army ARDEC.
