Description

Intend to Award Sole Source to: Nalco Company LLC THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: Nalco Company LLC 1601 W. Diehl Road Naperville, IL 60563-0130 The objective of this sole source award is to acquire annual preventive maintenance and any subsequent repairs for Nalco Water Envirox System. Sole source is based on only one responsible source as Nalco Company LLC is the manufacturer of Nalco Water Envirox System. Contractor has provided Manufacturer Sole Source Authorized Service Letter. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811310; the small business size standard is $7.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 1100A EST on Augusta 07, 2018, 2018 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Birmingham VA Medical Center, Intent to Sole Source to Nalco Company LLC. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
