For request for solicitation, provide your name, the company name and Cage Code and a telephone/facsimile number PRON: AX8F5661AX. The Government proposes to acquire, on a Firm-fixed Price, one time buy contract, a quantity of 100 each of a SHIPPING AND STORAGE CONTAINER, AH-64 MAIN ROTOR HEAD, NSN : 8145-01-235-1530, Part Number : 7-266100001-29 applicable to the APACHE (AH-64) weapon system. Production Lead Time (PLT) with First Article Testing for a quantity of 100 each is 810 Days After Contract Award (DACA). PLT without First Article Testing is 100 each, 540 DACA with deliveries to TRACY, CA. This item is restricted to CONTAINER RESEARCH CORPORATION, CAGE CODE 05259, ARMOR METAL GROUP, CAGE CODE 4UE86 and VSS LOGISTICS, LLC, CAGE CODE 46WF9. The technical factors support the Government's consideration for other than full and open competitive acquisition. This item is suitable for competitive acquisition the second or subsequent time, and the part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(1) having only a limited number of responsible sources. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source (s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar and looking under Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
