- ***AMENDMENT*** Uploaded revised documents Bid closing: 8/13/18. Send all proposals to Van Nicholson at van.ctr.nicholson@faa.gov. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. Site visit 7/28/18; see instructions in Section L of the attached SIR. Perform the earthwork, site grading and surfacing, associated with the construction of the antenna tower foundations, cable duct and tower grounding. Construct three 23 foot x 23 foot x 5 foot concrete foundations. The work also includes the tower cabling and facility grounding system, restoration of areas during construction, and installation of appurtenances as described herein or indicated on the drawings. Offload and erect three (3) 90 foot FAA furnished antenna towers. The work also includes installation of PVC conduit and GFM 1/2 heliax cables from the top of the new towers to the building. The towers will come completely unassembled. Grounding components will not be supplied with the towers. After a two (2) week period in which the FAA will make the new towers operational, remove and dispose of the old towers. Once the towers are installed, twist and plumb will need to be determined as shown in Appendix A. The contractor will be responsible for fixing any deficiencies. At the end of the project submit redline drawings and other items in the specifications under contract closeout.
