- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT REQUISITION NO: 5004261 INTENDED SOURCE: Inscopix INC. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 8 Weeks, ARO DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Inscopix INC, 2462 Embarcadero Way, Palo Alto, CA 94303-3313, for the acquisition of nVista 3.0 Imaging System for Rodents. Item# Description Qty. 1. 1000-002671 - nVista 3.0 Imaging System for Rodents 1 Includes miniature microscope, data acquisition box, and Inscopix Data Acquisition Software. 2. 1000-002310 - Mouse application Module, nVista 5 baseplates, 1 5 baseplates cover and 1 dummy space. 3. 1050-002259 - ProView Lens Probe, complimentary lens probes 5 for imaging of brain regions 4. 1000-002260 - Training Workshop Registration, nVista 1 5. 1000-002390 - Field Scientific Consultant on-site training 1 6. 1000-002899 - Inscopix Care 3-year subscription, includes 1 Repairs, replacements of hardware damage by users, animals Or unknown. 7. Shipping The nVista 3.0 Imaging System will be used to produce in vivo miniature microscopes technology. In order to resolve neuronal activity in awake behaving animals, and freely moving animals using genetically encoded optical sensors specialized equipment is required. The necessary components include field support specialist that will be essential in helping NIEHS get these experiments started. Inscopix provides both the hardware software and technical support that NIEHS will need to successfully implement the technology. Inscopix pioneered and is the sole proprietor of such technology. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541714 "Research and Development in Biotechnology" and a Size Standard of 1000 employees. The anticipated delivery time is 8 Weeks, ARO. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with Inscopix Inc. and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to Tanya Redfearn at shields3@niehs.nih.gov and are due by 1:00 PM, August 15, 2018. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by the due date, an award will be made to Inscopix Inc.
