- Description
- The Arch Angel solicitation H92239-18-Q-0001 concluded with two IDIQ contracts with a base plus 4 option years for the Military Free Fall requirement. The Arch Angel Program is a one stop training and sustainment package allowing Special Forces Groups (SFG) the ability to train and sustain a full spectrum Military Free Fall (MFF) capability. The Arch Angel program is intended to sustain High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) and High Altitude High Opening (HAHO) proficiency. The Government requires a 12-day course to include aircraft support and a wind tunnel with a minimum 14 feet in diameter. HALO/HAHO training requires canopy control instructors and vertical wind tunnel coaching instructors as specified in each task order. The period of instruction/training for each class will be two (2) weeks with each class beginning on a Monday and ending on the following Friday. The projected training schedule is one class each month throughout each period of performance. The initial week will consist of canopy control training on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with daylight jumps conducted during this first week of training. Saturday and Sunday will be available for any days of training missed during the first week due to inclement weather. The second week of training will be for limited visibility operations.
