Description

Sources Sought Synopsis Only This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantage business, Veteran owned small business (VOSB), Service disabled Veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 811310 with a size standard of $7.5.   Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified and verified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, can perform the service, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127.   Responses to this synopsis shall be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FBO and/or GSA eBuy. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. General Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office, NCO 22. Is seeking sources that can provide service and parts/supplies to meet manufacture-required annual lubrication services for each of four (4) MQ 25kW generator units. Contractor shall include all travel, labor and environmental fees to complete the work. Work to be completed for the following units: DCA-25SSIU3; 25kw: Engine ID#: 7109986/AC 4LE2-229539 7109974/AC 4LE2-229-813 7109989/AC 4LE2-229457 7109948/AC 4LE2-229478 2. SPECIFICATIONS: Includes labor and parts for each of the identified units. The VA San Diego Healthcare System will provide transportation to the service site and return upon work completion. One (1) annual service will be conducted during the term of the agreement. During the annual service, engine oil, one (1) oil filter, one (1) fuel filter, and one (1) air filter will be replaced. One (1) fuel sample, one (1) oil sample, and one (1) coolant sample will be taken and analyzed by a Caterpillar Laboratory. All hazardous waste will be disposed of in accordance with California state laws. 3. EXCLUSIONS: Any recommended repairs or additional maintenance will be consulted with the customer prior to performance. The period of performance is thirty (30) days from time of award or notice to proceed.
