- FBO Special Notice RFI# 36C24218Q9787 VISN2 INTENDS TO AWARD TO FSS CONTRACT HOLDER CAREFUSION ON A LTD SOURCE BASIS. The Department of Veterans Affairs Integrated Service Network, New York & New Jersey Health Care Network (VISN 2) intends to award on a limited source basis to FSS Schedule Contract holder, CareFusion (V797D-30183) for Large Volume Multi-Channel IV Infusion Pumps and PCA Pumps and Guardrails software upgrades to maintain standardization across the VISN. The scope of this initiative includes all VA Medical Centers within VISN 2. This procurement will include, but not be limited to, the IV infusion pumps, PCA pumps, data storage and analysis software, software licenses, implementation and training services, and optimization services to reduce medication administration errors. This will allow maintained standardization of infusion pump modalities and drug management software across the VISN as well as interoperability with existing infusion therapy technologies used in all VISN sites. It will allow the entire VISN to be consolidated onto a single virtual server (located at the Bronx VA), and a single backup solution (located at Brooklyn VA). This means that downtime can be reduced to minutes when there is an issue with the main server. Additionally, any issues can be looked at immediately with a single trained technician for all sites in the VISN. As all sites currently use CareFusion technologies which are not interoperable with other manufacturers products, it would be logistically unrealistic and cost prohibitive to change to a new infusion system at these sites. To remove any of these important features described here and provided through standardization will impact the functionality and clinical work flow thus negatively impacting Veteran patient care. Place of performance The requirement calls for the acquisition, installation, training, and maintenance and drug library interfacing, implementation service within the following VISN 2 facilities: James J. Peters (Bronx) VAMC ; Brooklyn VAMC ; Manhattan VAMC ; St. Albans VAMC ; East Orange VAMC ; Lyons VAMC; Montrose VAMC ; Castle Point VAMC ; Northport VAMC ; Buffalo VAMC; Batavia VAMC; Syracuse VAMC; Bath VAMC; Canandaigua VAMC; Albany VAMC RESPONSE DATE (DEADLINE): August 9, 2018 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received by COB August 9, 2018 will be considered for the purposes of determining the market place for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
