Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source American Medical Association (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) License FBO Notice: 36C77618Q9210 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contract Activity Central (PCAC) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), available from only one responsible source, no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with American Medical Association (AMA), 515 North State Street, Chicago, IL 60654 USA; to provide the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) License. The AMA uses standard health industry data for the purposes of determining the appropriate number of users for licensing CPT. The AMA User Proxy Model uses base metrics to determine the appropriate licensure for EMRs, patient billing systems and practice management systems. The sources of data include, but are not limited to, HIMSS Analytics, the American Hospital Association, CMS Attestation Reports and information available in the public domain. The NAICS code for this procurement is 511120 (Periodical Publishers) and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
