- Description
- Enterprise Infrastructure Study: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source to Consulting Group/Latin America (CGLA), Washington DC. The requirement is a follow-on procurement to expand the USGS role in the infrastructure industry to increase research relevance. To the knowledge of the USGS, CGLA is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential sources who can meet the described requirements must provide evidence of experience in working with: Private sector industry groups, such as financing, insurance, design, permitting, and other, for USGS leadership to discuss specific problems, challenges, or issues. This process will match societal needs in the infrastructure community with USGS ¿ specific scientific disciplines and will take place over five months, culminating in a session in Dallas at the 10th North American Infrastructure Leadership Forum, with a report to follow in November. These groups would discuss specific problems, challenges, or issues and how the USGS can optimize its value proposition for the infrastructure industry in the context of those specific areas. Facilitate a strategic partnership with the infrastructure industry, wherein industry would help guide USGS to develop infrastructure to accommodate any future federal tools allowing industry to access and import USGS data with minimal overhead. Work closely with the USGS in creating a long-term strategy in terms of adding value to the infrastructure community. The thrust of work would focus on classic strategy creation (clarity of objectives, resources, strengths and weaknesses), against current thinking; and the communication of that strategy, and its potential impacts, within USGS and throughout the infrastructure community. No exceptions. Failure to provide this information may result in a non-responsive quote and removal from award consideration. Estimated award date is 09/01/2018. Responses are due no later than 08/07/2018 1300 EDT. Response may be submitted to Stewart Evans by email at sevans@usgs.gov. All responses shall be limited to 10 pages. No hard copies or responses to FedConnect will be accepted. POC: Stewart Evans (916) 278-9334 or sevans@usgs.gov.
