- Performance and Travel Locations PWS The United States Coast Guard has a contract with Chugach Information Technology Incorporated (CITI) to provide lifecycle engineering support services to maintain and support the Rescue 21 Alaska (R21 AK ) search and rescue communications system. R21 AK system provides Digital Selective Calling to more accurately identify location of distress calls. It deploys a Remote Radio Control System and provides for expanded VHF coverage more suitable for the unique environment of Alaska. Support services include adaptive maintenance support of the R21 AK Microwave Network, Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) implementation, VHF coverage analysis and provide overall system development lifecycle support. The government intends to extend the services for a period of six months from September 29 2018 through March 28 2019. The government is not aware of any vendors who can perform this work other than CITI during the six months the government seeks to extend the current contract. However, the Government requests information to perform market research to determine if other sources exists. At a minimum, a response from qualified vendors should include the Company Cage Code, DUNS, name, address, telephone number, email and central point of contact(s) regarding this requirement. Qualified vendors should explain in their response their ability to meet the terms and conditions of the attached PWS. This posting is not a Request for Proposals or a Request for Quotations, and it is not considered a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor is the Government responsible for any costs incurred in furnishing information provided under this notice. At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, Do Not Request a copy of the solicitation. Interested parties who may provide information are encouraged to enter into exchanges of information with the Government. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION. The requested information is for planning purposed only and does NOT constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. No entitlement to payment by the Government of direct or indirect costs or charges will arise as a result of the submission of information in response to this request.
