Description

The Central Texas Veterans HealthCare System located in Temple Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Luminex Corporation to provide the Luminex 200 Multiplex System instrument. This requirement will allow the VA Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service to maintain the level of patient care services needed: NAICS code 622110. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source and VHAPM Part 806.3 Other Than Full and Open Competition (OFOC). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All SDVOSBs and VOSBs that can fulfill this requirement are encouraged to submit their capability statements. If no valid responses are received, the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. See attachment for scope of work/specification. Responses must be received no later than 12:00PM, CST on August 10, 2018. Inquiries can be emailed to ronalda.ohio@va.gov.
