Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego “ Seal Beach Detachment intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and the Clinger Cohen Act to Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software, Incorporated, 5800 Granite Parkway, Suite 600, Plano, TX 75024-6612. The proposed contract action is for maintenance and technology support for existing Siemens STARS CCM+ software. Naval Facilities Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) in Port Hueneme, CA is responsible for maritime asset development and protection to maintain mission readiness. It currently uses Siemens STAR CCM+ software to predict how real time environmental factors will affect materials and material modifications while at sea. In order to ensure these predictions are accurate, and thus assets are appropriately cared for, NAVFAC EXWC ™s software requires annual maintenance and tech support. Without this technical support, its hydrodynamic components are at risk of loss and/or failure. Siemens is the sole manufacturer and distributor of maintenance and technical support for its software. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail to melissa.ferri@navy.mil. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. Responses are due by 10 August 2018, 12:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time. If no responses are received, FLCSD-Seal Beach will proceed with the sole source award
