Description

Statement of Work The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a purchase order on the casis off other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 8.405-6 Limited Soruces Justification. Under the "statutory authority in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(b) (1), unique capabilities", and Executive Order 2859 of 1993, the National Academies of Sciences provides maritime transportation related analyses and advice to the Coast Guard and other Federal agencies as a noncompetitive source of scientific and technical advice and policy to the Government in various forums for information exchange promoting efficient, effective, and secure transportation within the U.S. The anticipated purchase order will be awarded to. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposal or quotations.
