Synopsis of Contract Action FA9302-18-P-5214 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action F-35 Hands on Throttle and Stick Systems (HOTAS) The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order, to Aerotronics LLC, 210 Jupiter Lackes Blvd. #51105, Jupiter, FL 33458-7192, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items. Aerotronics LLC is the only known business that meets the requirements and specifications for the F-35 HOTAS. North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333318. The following will be procured as follows: F-35 Flight Grip High Strength Aluminum; Part Number (P/N): 335-F0-1003, Qty. 5 F-35 Throttle Grip Aluminum with Slew; P/N: 335-TR-1002, Qty. 5 F-35 Desktop Flight Grip Base USB; P/N: 335-20-1001, Qty. 5 F-35 Desktop Linear Slide Throttle Base USB; P/N: 335-10-1002, Qty. 5 This notice neither constitutes a RFP or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit their interest and capability to the contract specialist below not later than, 31 July 2018, 9:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government will determine if this proposed acquisition should be opened to competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
