- Provisions and Clauses Combination Synopsis - Solicitation The contractor shall deliver to One (1) Polymer Swelling Ratio Tester Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD that meets the following requirements: Capable of measuring the linear expansion of polymers in solvents. Capable of performing measurements linear expansion of polymers measurements in the following solvents: water, ethanol, methanol, hexane, toluene, dimethylformamide, xylene, diethylether, isopropanol, acetonitrile, ethylene glycol, dimethylsulfoxide and glycerol. Must be compliant with American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM) F2214-02. Capable of performing measurements in a temperature range from 25°Celsius to 150°Celsius. Capable of measuring cube-shaped samples that are Four (4) to Six (6) to millimeters each side. Must include a computer with all the software necessary to operate the instrument and perform analysis to determine the time required for steady state from swell ratio versus time plots at various temperatures
