- The New York Army National Guard has a requirement for a mechanic's tool storage/ work bench to accommodate three individuals. The purpose for the tool storage area is to secure mechanics tools and it must have surface area so that mechanics can also do maintenance on small automotive components. -The surface area should be made of stainless steel and must have enough surface area for administrative duties as well. -The tool/work area must have lighting and must have outlets so that the mechanics can have an electrical source for their diagnostic equipment, computers and electronics. -The durability and construction of the cabinet drawers must be able to hold a significant amount of sockets, wrenches and other types of tools normally stored in a well-constructed tool box. -All of the storage areas, drawer and compartments, must contain a lock and key for security purposes. -The area in which the cabinet will be placed will be approximately 24 ft wide, the high can be anywhere from six to seven ft.
