Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23 intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm fixed priced purchase order, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures under authority of FAR Part 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i), One Source Reasonably Available, to the University of Iowa for services in support of the specified aims of the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City Project Study# CIN 13-412, Principal Investigator Eli Perencevich. NAICS Code 611310 with a size standard of $27.5 million will be utilized. The proximity of the University of Iowa and strong collaboration with the VA investigators is integral to the success of this project study. The University of Iowa is to provide services of personnel that includes: research work in patient adherence, algorithm validation, measurment development, and data analysis. This project is an outgrowth of ongoing work. The University of Iowa, Department of Internal Medicine was specifically identified as an operational partner in the funded Center for Comprehensive Access & Delivery Research and Evaluation, Center of Innovation (COIN) application and specifically named as the Contractor in supplemental funding requests. Period of Performance: Base 8/15/2018 7/31/2019. One 1-year option PoP: 8/1/2019 7/31/2020. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and no award will be made based on offerors responses to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for market research and information on whether to conduct a competitive procurement in future project study services awarded in support of grant recipients.
